Beirut, 1982. A newly assigned police officer, Adam, knows nothing about his origins, except his first name. Having suffered from a bomb that hit Beirut six years prior, he suffered a devastating head injury, cursing him with retrograde amnesia ever since, forcing him to reside in the Islamic Orphanage against his will. Now, at 20 years of age, he lives in the Emile Helou police station quarters, the home of many Lebanese orphans before him. Single, childless, perfectly replaceable men.
In the summer of 1982, he experiences an unexpectedly intimate encounter with a stranger at a party in Ain El Mraiseh, one of Beirut’s poshest neighborhoods, which marks the beginning of his troubled daily thoughts and sleepless nights, prompting him to search for the woman he believes to be the key to revealing his past and interpreting his visions.
Beirut, 1976. When a house is struck by an explosion killing many innocent children, a woman retreats into hiding, away from the prying eyes of the world, after being haunted with never-ending regret.
What happens when an unexpected siege on Beirut six years later forces her out of hiding to ask for redemption for her sins, and help a cause which, unbeknownst to her, will also help one young man find the answers he’s looking for?
